A total Breakdown of law and order reportedly occurred in the Ondo state governor's office on Monday evening when the money given to militants from the southern senatorial district of the state as 'demobilisation' caused a major rift between them, following their meeting with governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The Militants met with the governor after his elongated stay away from the state, as a follow up to their protest, held on the 16 of July.
Nigerian Cable News Reported that Scary looking Niger Delta militants in hundreds had on the said date closed down the gate of the governors' Office in Akure, because the Ondo state government refused to pay their entitlements, after they all submitted guns & other armunitions during the last amnesty exercise, while the governor was away.
The outcome of the meeting remains sketchy as at the time of putting up this report.
The revolving door at the entrance of the governor's office was broken and used as weapon to stab one of the militants identified as General Deji Ehinmowo.
Journalists around were threatened and molested to prevent them from reporting the development.
Reliable reports from however has it that Deji is currently receiving treatment at the Government House Clinic, Alagbaka.
