Police arrest suspected killer of ex-Ondo deputy governor’s daughter

Adeyemi Alao, the alleged killer of Miss Khadijat Oluboyo, daughter of immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo has been arrested by the Ondo state command of the Nigeria Police.

Khadijat, who was a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, was found dead in her boyfriend's house, Adeyemi Alao, popularly known as Q.S.

A source who spoke with SUNSHINE HERALD said Alao killed and buried the deceased in his room to use her for money rituals.

The suspect who stays in Abuja was said to be a long time friend of the deceased, and invited her to his father's house in Akure after a long time of not seeing each other.

Confirming the arrest to SUNSHINE HERALD, Femi Joseph, Ondo State Police Command Public Relations Officer said he was arrested by a team of detectives from the State Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

He said the suspect, who was already in police custody has been cooperating with the police with relevant information on the circumstances that led to the death of Khadijat.

Joseph said the Commissioner of Police will address the press after they conclude their investigations on the matter.

He assured that the case would be thoroughly investigated with a view to establishing facts behind the death of the Ikare-Akoko born University final year student.
