The Ondo state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the party won't constitute any distraction to the Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu-led All Progressives Congress (APC) government.
According to the opposition party, the Ondo PDP remains active and not dead just as it took a veiled jibe at residents of the state.
Reacting to a SUNSHINE HERALD news publication titled "Where is Ondo PDP, dead or dormant?", Director of Media and Publicity of the party in the State, Mr. Ayo Fadaka said the PDP would allow APC-led government to implement all its policies without interfering.
Fadaka said: "But you are aware of the fact that we went to an election with the APC and despite the fact that the people of the state were aware of the records of the PDP government, they decided for whatever reason to give the governorship mandate to the APC candidate.
"We believe that the people who were cautious of what they were doing and deserved to have a change, and since they have got the change they wanted, we as a party have decided to keep quiet and allow the APC government to provide the kind of leadership they want to give to the people of Ondo state.
"You are aware that during the election, people say and I did see that our people were taking money to vote and since that situation is not healthy for our democracy, we think it's good to let our people know what they have bought by taking money, by selling their ballots to people.
"At the appropriate time, the PDP in the state will come up and give its opinion on issues but for now, NO. Let the APC government do it their ways.
