Two new Special Advisers have been approved by the Ondo State House of Assembly for Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN .
The House at the plenary sitting presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun, approved the appointment of the two additional Advisers after the Clerk of the House, Bode Adeyelu read the message from the governor on the floor of the hallowed chamber requesting for the approval of the Assembly for appointment of the Special Advisers.
With this, the number of Special Advisers to the Governor would be 12.
It would be recalled that the Governor had earlier appointed 10 Advisers after the House had approved same for him.
The Governor's letter was signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde.
Also, three nominees for the Ondo State Judicial Service Commission (JSC) have been summoned to appear before the Assembly's Selection Committee on Monday at 10am.
This followed a letter from the Governor requesting for confirmation of appointment of members of the State Judiciary Service Commission.
The Clerk of the Assembly, read the names of the nominees as contained in the Governor's letter to include, Barrister Funmi Abitoye; Barrister Omofunmilewa Jumbo and Mrs Omolola Florence Akinseloyin.
The Majority Leader of House, Hon. Olugbenga Araoyinbo while asking the Assembly to grant the governor's request also expressed optimism that the approval would enhance service delivery in the state.
