Agribusiness: I See Hope In Ondo, says  Akeredolu

" We're no longer afraid of the price of crude oil in the international market. We have the potentials to make agriculture the mainstay of our economy. 

" I see hope in the future of Nigeria. We have now get to that crucial stage in our national life, where everyone has now come to the realization that Agribusiness is the way to go. Honestly, I see hope in Nigeria in no distance future."

These were the words of Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN,  today while receiving the presentation of the Founder /CEO of Peace Aid Project, PAP,  Mr Benson Emakpo in his office, Alagbaka, Akure on Thursday -12th October, 2017.

Peace Aid Project, (PAP) is a Non-Governmental Organization working in partnership with Communities, Stakeholders and Government Agencies to drive development funds for the establishment of sustainable community development projects in aquaculture and livestock farming. 

During the presentation,  Mr Benson Emakpo highlighted eight untapped agricultural resources available in the state. He said Peace Aid Project initiative would provide windows for exploring them. 

" Our primary objective is to develop value chain in Livestock Farming of the Agricultural Sector through innovation and the introduction of Information Communication and Technology, (ICT)  into Aquaculture and Livestock farming in  a sustainable manner", he said.  

Mr Emakpo added that everyone would have a bite of the cake because it was a programme designed for women and youths.

The Deputy Governor, Alfred Agboola Ajayi, who  represented the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, assured the team that the State Government would create the needed enabling environment for the project to thrive.
