APC holds congress today; Sanitation exercise cancelled in Ondo

The All Progressives Congress (APC) will today hold its congress in Ondo State as part of the National Congress of the party which holds across states in the country.

Consequently, the monthly Environmental Sanitation exercise for July 2017, in Ondo State, billed for today has been cancelled.

The cancellation is to give room for the conduct of congresses of the congress  scheduled to hold on the day.

According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Segun Ajiboye, the good people of the state are advised to go about their businesses in accordance with the law.

Speaking with The Hope, State Director, Media and Publicity of the party, Mr. Steve Otaloro said the National Executive Officers of APC are expected in the state to conduct the National Congress of the party that will hold across the nation on Saturday.

He explained that the congress will also hold in all the 18 local government areas of the state.

"The National Executive Officers of our party are expected in the state to conduct the congress on Saturday.

"The congress is going to be held in all the 18 Local Government Areas of the state" he stated

According to him, three delegates will be appointed from each council to form part of the delegates for the next years' National Congress of the party that will hold on March.

The delegates, the spokesperson said will be  for the presidential primary of the party for the 2019 presidential election.

Otaloro further explained that the delegates will also be used to elect the national executive officers of the party who include the National Chairman and Secretary among others, stressing that the tenure of the present national executives of the party will end next year.
