Sunshine Stars' woes continue as they failed to secure a win over MFM FC Wednesday afternoon at Agege, Lagos state. 

The relegation threatened club remain number 17 on the league table, a position they have held for weeks.

Tchato Giscard's 27th minute strike gave MFM the lead. The visitors didn't relent in their attacking efforts as Dayo Ojo's long range effort from Tope Orelop's lay up sailed wide just two minutes after the opening goal.

Just few minutes in to the second half, MFM's Omaka Anthony was awarded a yellow card for a foul on Stephen Odey at the 47th minute.

The visitors almost scored a goal at the 66th minute when Alimi's header off Sunday Abbey's free kick from closed range went in inches wide.

Omaka's foul saw the visitors conceding a penalty goal at the 77th minute.

A spot kick that was converted by Stephen Odey.

At the 88th minute, Sunshine Stars, were awarded a penalty, when Rock's header struck the hand of MFM player in the yard. Otegbeye put it away for Stars.

Sunshine Stars are set to face Abia Warriors at Ijebu Ode in their next home match, while MFM FC host Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC.
