National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has advised APC governors to emulate Governor Abdul'aziz Yari of Zamfara in the execution of developmental projects.
Odigie-Oyegun spoke on Saturday while inaugurating Semi-Urban Water Scheme Projects in Dauran and Kanwa communities in Zurmi Local Government Areas of the state.
"I want to use this opportunity to call on other APC governors to emulate Zamfara state government in providing social amenities to citizens", he said
"Apart from Semi-Urban water scheme projects in Dauran an Kanwa communities and hospital projects in Moriki town we are commissioning today, I have seen good roads and large hectares of arable land with people cultivating rice and other crops.
"I must commend governor Yari for executing these projects especially the way they will d touch the lives of people at the grassroots. What I have seen today is the demonstration of the manifesto of our great party, the APC.
"These projects executed by governor Yari showed that the APC leadership in the country is making progress in its mission to move the country forward.
"These projects would assist the Federal Government policy of reviving the agricultural sector and rural development.
"Majority of our people in rural communities are farmers and these projects will assist them to stay in their communities to participate actively in farming activities.
"I am highly impressed with what I have seen today and I believe that with these projects the strength of our great party will remain here in Zamfara", he said.
In his remarks, Yari said the two water projects were executed at the cost of N628 million as part of his administration's policy to improve potable water supply in the state.
He said the projects were among the 84 Solar Motorised Boreholes and Semi Urban Water Schemes executed across the 14 local government areas of the state.
