A former Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development in the Dr Olusegun Mimiko-led government in Ondo State, Architect (Dr) Igbekele Daodu was on Thursday nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari as an Ambassador from the State.
Buhari in a letter sent to the Senate, which was obtained by SUNSHINE HERALD named Daodu and 45 others as non-career ambassador to the Senate for confirmation and approval two months after the legislature rejected his first list which has Mr Sola Iji as the State's representative.
It will be recalled that governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, had last year complained that the earlier nominees were drawn from their respective states without consultations with them.
The new nominee from the State also served as Special Assistant to Mimiko on Infrastructure and Maintenance before his appointment as commissioner in 2011.
He is from Akoko South West local government area of the state.
