Premium Times is reporting that APC national leader Bola Tinubu will not take part in the party's mega rally for the Ondo election today, Wednesday, November 9.
It reports that contrary to claims that the mega rally would be a massive affair with all top chieftains of the party present and campaigning for Rotimi Akeredolu, the former Lagos state governor will not be anywhere near Ondo state.
Premium Times quotes a close Tinubu aide as saying that Tinubu, who has been out of the country since early October will not make it back in time for the rally.
"You are aware that he (Tinubu) is presently abroad and may not be back before the event," the source said.
Also, contrary to Ondo APC claims that President Muhammadu Buhari would be in attendance at the mega rally in Akure, Sahara Reporters says it has gathered that the president would not be making it to the event.
He would be represented by the vice president Yemi Osinbajo.
Meanwhile, the crisis in the ruling APC deepened after the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, snubbed two meetings scheduled to resolve the controversytrailing the September 3 governorship primaries in Ondo state won by the former president, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Rotimi Akeredolu.
